Athletes can compete in a Multi event day which comprises of set events.

• U/7 and U/8 age groups compete in 4 events comprising of:-  70m, Long Jump, Shot Put & 300m.
• U/9 to U/14 Girls age groups compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, 80m Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus and 800m.
• U/14B to U/15Girls compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, 90m Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus & 800m.
• U/15Boys compete in 5 events comprising of:- 100m, 100m Hurdle, Long Jump, Discus and 800m.
• (U/6 do not compete in Multis)

Athletes are awarded points for their placing in each event, at the end of the day the 3 highest point score’s from each age group are awarded medals.

Athletes competing in Region and State Multis are required to wear a centre uniform, these are available for purchase, Singlets are $25.00, and shorts are $15.00.

Entry form along with your fee must be handed in to your registered club. Forms can be printed from the web site OR can be located in the Centre Handbook which is available from your registered club.

Any athlete in the U9 to U15 age group can compete in the State Multi Event. - you do not have to qualify. Events are the same as the Region Multi. This is a chance for an Athlete to compete against Athletes from all over Victoria.

Region Track & Field is for the U/7 to U/15 age groups. (U/6 and U/16 do not compete)

There is a fee of $5.00 per event with a maximum of 4 events.

Athletes in U7 and U8 compete for medals and Athletes from U/9—U/15 compete for a spot at State Track & Field to be held at Olympic Park in March, should they qualify.

U7 & U8 can compete in the following events: 70m, 100m, 200m, Shot Put, Discus & Long Jump
U9—U15 can compete in all events

Please note that U/9 to U/15’s must meet certain criteria to compete in High Jump, Walks, Triple Jump and Long Jump—these criteria's can be located on the back of the entry form. For those of you who are new to little athletics, Region Relays are held for U/7 to U/15 athletes. (U/6 & U/16 do not compete in relays)
There is an entry fee of $2.50 fee per event, with a maximum of 3 events per athlete.

Selection into a team will be based on times and your attendance at training, however team managers make every effort to give each child a run (numbers permitting). Please remember that this is a team event - the kids really benefit from training together and learning how to pass the baton to their team mates.

U/7 & U/8 compete for medals with the older age groups competing for a spot in the State finals on Sunday 13th Dec at Olympic Park. Please also consider this before entering your child. If your child does qualify for State Relays they will be required to continue training and must be available to compete on the 13th December.
